It’s a weighty term, one that we first learn about in grade school. Evolution encompasses many different ideas from biology to technology to business and social behaviors but time and again it boils back down to one thing.
Evolution is what we do in order to keep from becoming a dinosaur. Evolution is a natural process and should be analyzed and understood when it comes to business growth.
If you still use a StarTAC, you are a dinosaur. If you use a Blackberry, you are at best an alligator. Windows XP is a dinosaur. Internet Explorer, Friendster, and MySpace are dinosaurs. The RIAA and the CD: dinosaurs. What’s that? You don’t have five figures a year to spend on gasoline? The Hummer is now a dinosaur.
They are dead concepts walking; relics of another time, a few years ago, before the latest generation happened.
Evolution Lifecycle
Ideas have lifecycles shorter than those of a mosquito. Are you keeping up? Business, products, processes, technologies, and theories all evolve and if you want to survive, your company must evolve too. Are you embracing the social business evolution?
Your customers are evolving. Every year they get more and more sophisticated. Their ability to spot an advertising or marketing pitch before it’s even registered then simply not see the message at all is astounding. It represents the single most frustrating obstacle when trying to talk to them. You can have the greatest product or service on Earth but the moment you try to talk about it the world becomes like an awkward moment in high school; except this time you really are invisible.
When you need more than anything in the world to be noticed, we’re the cool uncle you never had. We’ve got you covered.
Social Business Evolution and Modern Business
Here’s the really tricky part though: if you wait for evolution to happen, it kills you. In the modern business world, we have to be smarter and faster than everyone else in order to avoid the La Brea tar pits. If we’re not, we may as well be that $200 rust bucket of a car on the corner that no one will ever buy. It’s a dusty relic in a boneyard but that’s not your fate, is it?
Ideas evolve, products evolve, people evolve, is your business evolving?
We’re here to make sure you listen, understand, and evolve in the smartest way possible.
